I am officially a dot com now. You can still find me at the blog website, but for something easier to remember, I can now also be found at:
Along with that I have a new e-mail address for the blog. So if you are a publisher, reader, author, or just have a question; I can be found at firstname.lastname@example.org. Easy to remember right?
As well as those fun changes, I am participating in Maw Books Blogiesta this weekend. So fun! I'm amping up the blog. I have a list of exciting (to me at least) new things that I would like to implement, and I will spend my weekend working on the blog to gear it up...
Here are some things that I am hoping to and thinking about doing:
- guest posts by some of my favorite bloggers (so you can get a taste of what's out there)
- Movie Madness Mondays (talking about books that have been, are being, or should be turned into movies)
- author interviews (I have held off on doing this because I've been a bit nervous, but I am ready and excited about interviewing some of the authors who's books I love!)
- New Author feature (gotta give some love to those authors who are wonderful, but don't have a "brand" behind their name yet)
- Women Author feature (gotta support other women writing artists out there!).
If you have ideas or suggestions for any of the above, or just have an suggestion of something you'd like to see on CL, please let me know in the comment section of this post. If you'd rather it be private, feel free to e-mail me at my snazzy new e-mail address for this blog! ;)
Also, if you are a fan of this blog and enjoy reading it on a regular basis, might I ask that you subscribe either by e-mail or in Reader form (both available at the top of the left hand column)? Let me tell you why: When you subscribe to, instead of bookmark, my page it helps me out believe it or not. Bloggers blog for the love of it, for sure! But those of us who are doing this as more than a hobby also need numbers unfortunately (honestly what doesn't need numbers to survive?). Feedburner is able to count you as a reader even if you just add me to your favorite RSS feed. So, please consider doing that if you are comfortable with it.
Commenting is also a way to bring fresh content to your favorite blog's pages (just to note in general for all of your favorite blogs). Did you know that when you comment on your favorite blogs, the pages get refreshed in the search engine because it now has "fresh content" on the page. That means when people are searching for the topics in a particular post, that post has a better chance of being put towards the top of the search. Just food for thought.
I want to take this time to thank ALL of you for reading this blog! I enjoy writing it and hope I can continue for a long time. My goal now is to be able to showcase a substantial number of readers (at least the same amount that shows up in my traffic counter) so that I can start making actual money off of my blog. Wouldn't that be nice? To make money for the work one does? Haha!
I hope you have a nice weekend, I'll be here... reading and working on my list from above!
